Introducing cut-as-code

We're starting a new open-source project: cut-as-code.

We do a lot of vibe coding, and we've seen coding agents become capable of doing almost anything. We also run an AI generation product with plenty of video editing needs, so we started wondering: why not let an AI agent edit videos too?

Video editing can, after all, be formulated as a coding problem.

So, what can it do today?

1. Cut long videos and remove unwanted sections.

2. Add captions, motion cards, and color grading.

3. Turn long videos into vertical TikTok and YouTube Shorts.

It’s still simple and limited, but we’ll keep building until it works well for a specific niche. Suggestions, feedback, and contributions are all welcome!
